We're anticipating a Thanksgiving day opening at Sugarbush. Lincoln Peak, that is. I won't be on the hill at Mt. Ellen for another 10 days or so. Mt. Ellen opens 12/17, but I'll be grooming for some pre-season training (GMVS, VASS, ski school, etc.).
Not sure who might have a Beast in your neck of the woods. We demoed a Beast last year. Didn't seem to be the right fit for our grooming. But we picked up a new PB600 (stick cat) with an AlpinFlex tiller for this season.

Heard that Okemo has 3 Beast now in their fleet. I'll find out in a couple of weeks. Has Prinoth made a Beast winch yet?

hey you guys
just got home from work - pushed out Tramway trail (Cannon Mt NH) sm whales and tilled her up last nite and tonite when we went up there was 6" of skied out natural and still snowing like a bitch - cord not visable pass to pass - kinda sucks grooming - yknow up pressure, windrows - but still it was a fun and productive shift and its good to see it wintry finally.
Anybody regularly grooming any natural snow trails yet? We are doing some short stretches of natural trails but basically snowmaking stuff. Looks like that will change soon.
Been a weird 2 weeks at Cannon - 2 skier deaths - closed trails both - head injuries - you just dont know
later
