anyone ever hear of the sticks for the tacks not responding? i never have. i ask because one of our guys was on a whale and fell off the other side and told us that the controles didnt respond

Other than operator error...to keep it simple, maybe the guy hit the track speed pod to zero on accident or there was a brake switch problem. That should have set the alarm though. Maybe you'll find a fault code? Its hard to say unless you can test to make the problem happen again (not on a whale though!)

Ba ha ha....sounds like a cop out if the machine has never done it before or since. Would depend if it was an ME or an MP....I think it's probably impossible for the sticks to not respond momentarily in an ME....the MP I ran some last year had an intermitent thing where it would pull to one side a little bit every now and then. I assume that would be 1 stick momentarily not responding. That said again...I could imagine 1 stick not responding...but likely not both? Knowing all the safety circuits built in to a bombi...I would imagine it would go into a master caution if the computer lost all contact with the sticks. Sounds more like he "tobogganed" off the whale and having never experienced that before he may have thought that was the sticks not responding.

ya its a MP and he said thay both didnt respond, i thought that to be kinda odd too

Check fault codes. PF:11 or PF:13 (LH/RH PCP Coil Open) I've seen this problem a couple times. When this fault occures There is no stick control. If you shut the cat down,wait a few, fire it up again it usually resets it. Both times i found certain wires slightly pulled out of connector "P1" at the bottom of the Micro Processor. Most likely caused by the drivers seat catching or rubbing on the wires.

pf 11 or 13 is not about the wires, with that the problem is that the coil is bad and overheating. I think you can flip them...

Like i said the wires were slightly pulled out. I pushed the pins back in securly,have not had the codes or concern again.Weather the PCP is bad or the wires from the MP to the PCP are open(pulled out)you well get codes pf 11 or 13.
