Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket scanners such as otc to read the caterpillar engine codes? If not otc than which affordable option has worked for people? Thanks!

yeah, like CAT won't let anyone but a CAT tech have access to their copywrited software programs. So We're stuck having to call CAT POWER SYSTEMS, who deal with mostly generators, to read our codes. Because its a cat engine in a different manufacturers vehicle. cheers
