Indoor Snow Slopes

Hi, I have a question for you guys, I work in an indoor snow slope and im trying to find a way to make a ice layer on top of the snow so when we have race events it is in perfect condition and will not rut up as bad. We have a PB 100. How do you prepare a race piste? groom it then flood the slope with a hose? or is there a water system you have on the back of the Kat that pours into the tiller?

Probably the most important part of race prep is allowing the slope to have "set time" If you're grooming and racing on it right after it's going to rut up big time because you just softened up all the snow with the cat. A slope needs to "set" for at least an hour...if not more (depends on temperature)...to harden up. Overnight is best. Beyond that...if you really want a firm course you have to salt it. The salt melts the snow and then refreezes it hardening things up. Again...that requires set time. I would assume your biggest problem would be not being able to let a course set due to the facility being so busy.
